ABOUT ME

I went to my first yoga class when I was 27. I felt awkward, out of place and had no idea what I was doing. I left convinced yoga wasn’t for me.

Years later, at 45, I decided to give yoga another shot. I still couldn’t “do” the poses the way I thought I was supposed to, but this time, something felt different. Even when I wobbled or fell, yoga resonated with me in a way I couldn’t explain. And I kept showing up because I began to notice subtle changes in my life—changes that were making me feel better.

At the time I was depressed and, though yoga wasn’t a quick fix, it certainly helped. Breath by breath it took me out of my head and gave me respite from my dark thoughts. It wasn’t just about moving my body—it was about calming my mind, reconnecting with myself, and finding moments of peace.

Yoga is so much more than poses or flexibility. It’s about creating calmness and connection. It’s about nurturing resilience, discovering your inner strength, and realizing you are enough just as you are.
